1. About this policy
Hope Freedom Ministry ("we", "our" or "us") operates in Sham ki Bhattian, Lahore, Pakistan. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you visit our website, contact us, volunteer, request assistance or support our work.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may receive:
- contact information, such as your name, email address and telephone number;
- the contents of messages, volunteer enquiries, support requests or safeguarding reports you send us;
- information you voluntarily provide about your interests, availability or circumstances; and
- basic technical information processed automatically when the website is accessed, such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring page and access time.
Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for us to respond to your request.
3. How we use information
We use personal information only where reasonably necessary to:
- respond to enquiries and requests for assistance;
- coordinate volunteers, programmes and community support;
- communicate about our work when you have asked to receive updates;
- manage safeguarding concerns and protect people from harm;
- maintain appropriate administrative, security and accountability records; and
- operate, secure and improve the website.
We rely on your consent where appropriate and otherwise process information for legitimate operational, safety and legal purposes. You may withdraw consent for future communications at any time.
4. Website forms and communications
The email updates form opens your own email application and does not subscribe you automatically. Messages sent by email or WhatsApp are processed through those communication services. Do not use these channels for an immediate emergency.
5. Donations and external services
Online donations are made through our official GoFundMe campaign. We do not collect or store payment-card or bank-account details on this website. GoFundMe processes donation and payment information under its own privacy terms.
The website may link to or use services supplied by GoFundMe, WhatsApp, Instagram, Google Fonts and GTranslate. Those providers may process technical or account information under their own privacy policies. Following an external link takes you to a service we do not control.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising cookies or sell information for targeted advertising. Essential technical storage may be used to deliver the website, and the translation feature or other third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies when activated. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling them may affect some features.
7. Sharing personal information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share limited information with authorised volunteers, service providers or relevant authorities only when needed to deliver a requested service, operate the website, protect a person from harm, investigate misuse or meet a legal obligation. We require information to be handled responsibly and only for the relevant purpose.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including safeguarding, accountability, dispute-resolution and legal requirements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or securely dispose of it.
9. Security
We use proportionate organisational and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so please share information carefully.
10. Children and safeguarding
Our work may support children and families, but this website is not intended to collect personal information directly from children without appropriate adult involvement. If you believe a child has submitted personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate. Safeguarding concerns are handled under our Safeguarding & Contact Procedure.
11. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable requirements, you may ask us to provide access to, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, restrict or object to certain uses, or stop future updates. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required for safety, accountability or legal reasons.
12. International services
Some external service providers may process information in countries outside Pakistan. Their privacy and data-protection rules may differ from those in your location. We limit the information shared through such services where reasonably possible.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our activities, website or legal responsibilities change. The effective date shown above identifies the latest version.
